I use solvent on most all of my weapons, and never had an issue with it degrading anything. I reken your good to go.

I bought a Norinco about 2 years ago, then my son got one, a Yugo, then I got anouther for my other son , then anouther man in our team got one.. We all put
druganov stocks on them, Was sort of a standard idea but just worked out that way, inexpensive, battle proven, easier to buy ammo in bulk thats forsure, I am
always looking for the little guys that need a good home... like em....

Chinese SKSs are much better than the Yugo ones, and judging by the prices I see here in Tacoma... you're getting a good deal. Norincos in general tend to
be good rifles, I've owned a Norninco SKS and now own a Norinco 'MAK-90' AK-47 and the build quality is quite good.
